Joel Embiid在美國隊出場介紹時，就受到全場噓聲伺候，而比賽先發一上陣時，也是一拿到球就被全場球迷噓聲攻擊，對比其他球員差距很大。
Embiid今天在對上塞爾維亞的比賽也不是很理想，上場僅11分鐘，拿到4分、2籃板，場上作用沒有替補的Anthony Davis和Bam Adebayo還要來得好。
